It’s one of those basic necessities of life that we simply can’t
live without, just like good nutritious food, clean air and pure water.

the clock and you realize if you go to bed right now you’ll get a
full 8 hours sleep and be raring to go in the morning.

movie comes on the T.V. So what do you do?
You end up hating yourself in the morning - as usual!
But what if I told you there was a whole lot more riding on you getting
a full 8 hours sleep than just getting over that hazy feeling you have
until you slug down your first cup of morning coffee?
Because according to a recent study conducted by Cornel psychology professor,
James B. Mass, if you’re getting anything less than 8 full hours
sleep every night, you’re operating functionally impaired.
Which means your productivity, your creativity and your health in general

Professor Mass also noted that “it’s between the seventh and
eighth hour of sleep where we get almost a full hour of REM sleep, the

So my advice is to plan your day to allow your body the maximum amount
of time it needs to function at peak levels. That means going to bed
early enough so your body has time to wake up naturally – without an alarm
clock.
That’s the only way to be sure you’re giving your body the
exact amount of rest it needs. And trust me, your body will thank you for
it. There’s nothing like waking up in the morning raring to go – full
of piss and vinegar.
But for an unfortunate few out there just falling asleep can be a real
chore. I had a similar problem a few years back when I switched my schedule
around and started working days.
My body had gotten so accustomed to being up all night it just wouldn’t
let me fall asleep no mater what I did.

8) Make a sleep schedule and stick with it – that means going to
bed at the same time every night and waking up at the same time every morning.
And I’d even recommend you keep it going on the weekends, at least
until you have the problem under control.
9) Use your bed for sleep and sex only – get rid of the T.V. the
telephone and any other distractions that might keep you awake. Train your
body to recognize your bed as a sanctuary.
Remember, you’ve got a lot at stake here. A good night’s sleep
is crucial - and just as important to your over all well being as what
you eat and how much exercise you’re getting.
So try and make sure you’re getting at least 6-8 hours a night, so
you can function at your absolute best – mentally, physically and
spiritually.
